Terminal Changelog: Every Dated Padre Terminal Change Since the Rename

Table of Contents

Terminal does not publish a changelog, so we keep one. Padre's announcement channel went quiet in October 2025, the documentation went offline in 2026, and the app has kept changing anyway. This page lists every change we can pin to a date, newest first, with the source for each one and the Terminalpedia guide that explains it.

Independent, and dated on purpose

Terminalpedia is not affiliated with Terminal, Padre or pump.fun and does not speak for them. Nothing here is investment advice, and nothing on this page says anything about any token's value. Every row has a date and a source. Anything we could not date is left out, not guessed.

If you are coming back to Terminal after a while away, open the app at terminal.pump.fun and use this page to see what moved. If you only want the rename, what the Padre rename changed for your account covers that from start to finish.

Terminal is Padre under a new name, and the code still shows it. On 26 October 2026 both terminal.pump.fun and trade.padre.gg still loaded the same bundle file. The biggest changes since the rename fall into three groups: the token and the docs that went away, the Vyper merger, and features that shipped without ever being documented. The table below dates each one.

Eight of the rows below. A date marked 'read in code' is the day we saw it, which is not always the day it shipped.

How to read the dates

Each row is one of three kinds of date, and they are not equally strong.

Announced means a company or a news outlet said it on that day. Captured means it comes from a Wayback Machine copy of the old Padre documentation taken on that day, which we have recovered in the docs archive. Read in code means we read Terminal's shipped JavaScript on that day and found it there. A code reading tells you a thing existed by that date. It does not tell you when it first shipped, and it shows what is shipped rather than what every account has switched on.

The dated changelog

Newest first. The guide column points at the page where we explain the change in full.

Two rows have a range or a month instead of a day. The docs did not go offline on a date anyone announced: Wayback shows them working in early March 2026 and gone by May. The two Padre incident posts carry only their month in our notes, so that is all we give them.

Set Your Cashback Rate Before You Trade

Terminal pays cashback on your trading fees in SOL, and its live in-app copy advertises up to 35% for accounts created through a referral link. The rate is fixed when the account is made. The 1% trading fee is the same either way.

What the docs said and what the app does now

The archived documentation and the shipped app disagree often. The docs stopped being updated long before they went offline, and several captured pages already called themselves a year out of date in early 2026. Where the two disagree, we go with the code, and the methodology page explains why.

TopicArchived docs saidThe app we read shows
ChainsFour: Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB ChainFive. Robinhood Chain is in the selector too (6 Aug 2026)

Trade presetsP1, P2 and P3, plus InfernoNormal, Fast and Ultra, plus Inferno (6 Aug 2026)
Default cashback10%, or 35% through a referral link (captured 20 Jun 2025)35% referred is confirmed in-app. No 10% string appears in the build (6 Sep 2026)
Copy tradingAn Automations page described itThat page was deleted. Only order tagging remains
Jeet GridDocumented as an early-buyer panelMissing from both the navigation and the bundle (6 Aug 2026)
PasskeysA six-page passkey guideRemoved. Padre said passkeys "introduced too much friction"
Finding your referral codeThe FAQ (8 Jan 2026) and the referral page (9 Mar 2026) gave different directionsThe Referrals tab sits inside Rewards (6 Sep 2026)

The 10% figure is the weakest number on this site. It comes from archived pages only, and we have not been able to confirm it in the current app. The rewards tabs decoded works through what that means for an account opened without a referral.

What is not on this list

Some things you will read about Terminal elsewhere are missing here on purpose.

TWAP orders are not on the list because we found no evidence they ever existed in the app. Every lowercase "twap" in the bundle belongs to twapBoost, a pump.fun token-metadata badge. We have no row for a public API or a native mobile app, because we found neither. Terminal runs as a progressive web app. And there is no airdrop row, because none has happened. Our PUMP token page dates the promise and what was delivered instead.

pump.fun's own app also changed a lot in August and September 2026, adding HyperEVM, Apple Pay and limit orders. Those changes landed in pump.fun's app rather than in Terminal, so they belong on pump.fun app vs Terminal and not here.

How this page is kept up to date

Last checked: 26 October 2026. That day we confirmed that both domains still load the same bundle file and that the old docs still redirect. Everything else carries the date in its own row.

When we read a new build or a company announces a change, we add a row at the top with its date, its kind and its source, and change the date above. We do not rewrite old rows. If a later reading contradicts an earlier one, the new row says so and the old row stays, because a dated record is only useful if its old entries stay put. If you spot a change we have missed, the contact page reaches us.

Where the figures came from. Every row names its own source. Announcements link to the outlet that reported them (Crypto Briefing, BeInCrypto, The Block, FinanceFeeds, Phemex, CoinDesk) or to pump.fun's own fee page. Documentation rows come from Wayback Machine captures of the Padre GitBook, recovered in our docs archive. Code rows come from our own readings of Terminal's production JavaScript bundle on the date shown. The two incident rows come from Padre's public Telegram announcement channel.

Sample and window. Code readings on 6 August, 6 September, 9 September, 20 October and 26 October 2026. Documentation captures dated 20 June 2025 to 9 March 2026. A bundle reading shows what is shipped by that date rather than when it first shipped or whether every account has it enabled. Last updated ; first published .

Reuse. You may republish these figures with attribution and a link to https://terminalpedia.com/ecosystem/terminal-changelog. Please carry the date with the number: several of these are read from a shipped application build rather than from a published document, so they describe that build rather than every future release.

Frequently Asked Questions

We could not find one as of 26 October 2026. Padre's Telegram announcement channel posted for the last time on 15 October 2025, nine days before pump.fun announced the acquisition, and the documentation site at docs.padre.gg now redirects every path to the app's sign-in screen. This page is our own dated record, built from news reports of each announcement, archived captures of the old documentation and our readings of the app's shipped code.

Pump.fun announced that it had acquired Padre on 24 October 2025, and the product was renamed Terminal. It was renamed rather than rebuilt. When we compared them on 26 October 2026, terminal.pump.fun and trade.padre.gg were still loading the same JavaScript bundle file, which means the two addresses serve one application.

Dated changes we can source include Vyper's app winding down on 10 February 2026 after pump.fun acquired it, the Padre documentation going offline sometime between March and May 2026, pump.fun allowing USDC-paired token launches from 21 May 2026, and pump.fun announcing Custom Pairs on 9 September 2026. Our code readings on 6 August and 6 September 2026 also found features the old docs never mentioned, including a fifth chain, Robinhood Chain, and a Mayhem Mode with lobbies and voice chat.

The docs stopped being updated well before they went offline. Several captured pages already said 'Last updated 1 year ago' in early 2026. The app kept shipping, so the docs list four Solana venues where the code routes to sixteen, four chains where it ships five, and P1, P2 and P3 presets that the app now calls Normal, Fast and Ultra. Where the two disagree, we go with the code.
